Hariprasad Chaurasia is a legendary Indian flautist. He is the one counted among the greatest masters of the north Indian bamboo flute.  He has recieved the prestigesous awards like the Padma Shree and also Padma Vibushan . His father quite contrary was a wrestler. He had a passion for music since childhood and as ther family didn;t encourage him, he had to rebel against his father and he secretly began learning classical vocal music at the age of 15 from his neighbor. He met the famous flautist Pandit Bholanath Prasanna of Varanasi  and was deeply influenced by his music and began learning to play the flute under his guidance.
