Guru Bipin Singh

Be the first to review

Guru Bipin Singh was born on 23 August 1918. He was an eminent teacher of Manipuri dance, a director, and a choreographer. He fascinated and enthralled his audiences with his expressions, poise, and dignity.

When he was a child,  he began training in singing and dancing before focusing on Manipuri dance completely under the able guidance of Guru Amudon Sharma, with the support of Manipur’s king. In spite of earning by working as a film choreographer, he did not lose his focus in expanding his knowledge of the traditional dance form of Manipuri.
